Weaning time!

Updated: Sep 8

On the last day of august, all thoughts are turning towards the weaning of the foals - of our own foals born here and those we have reserved from other breeders.
Above is Welsh Mountain / Section A filly, Du Granit Mama Kin, at the International Show , Papendal, in the Netherlands last week. She earned a respectable 5th placing in a strongly contested class/section and all being well, she will be presented for the last time with her dam at our National Welsh show next week.
Afterwards she will be weaned, along with her paternal half brother (both by the late Heniarth Quip) and they will join us here.
Also joining us in a few days, will be a palomino Welsh Pony / Section B colt, Stougjeshoeve Everglow, by Heniarth Purple Noon (Tooravale Houston) out of winning mare Stougjeshoeve Enjoy.
A fourth, and very special new addition, will be Waxwing Moon Light, a beautiful Welsh Pony / Section B filly by Moelview Masquerade out of Waxwing Glint. As excited as we are to meet her, she will not be joining us immediately here in France after weaning - she will remain in the UK for a while to be produced for shows.

This year we have invested everything into the way that we intend to move forward, but with a stream lined approach to the foundation breeding stock that we have. This has meant that there has been less focus on our actual show attendance but we look forward to what 2027 might bring, both here and internationally for our ponies.
Summer has been quite challenging, with the intense and prolonged heat, but the ponies have coped exceptionally well and like us, I am sure they will appreciate some cooler autumn weather.
We do have a small selection of ponies and foals available for sale. Please contact us for more information.
