Regional Welsh Show ~ Haras de Bel Air, Pernay

An outing for our three Bronheulog ponies this weekend - all making their début showing in France - and the very first show for the yearlings.

Bronheulog Polly (2023 filly by Waxwing Penny Post x Bronheulog Posie) ~ 2nd place, Section B 3yo fillies

It was a great experience for the younger two ponies, with the added and unexpected bonus of the title of Reserve Champion for Tomboy - we like him alot and even though we felt that neither were quite "ready" to show, it was a good opportunity for them to attend. It was good to be out with Polly, she was imported in May and after a difficult journey it was a rush to get her prepared for this show in time.

Very pleased with how they all presented - thank you to Aurelie Tuduri for showing Sophia in the Championship, Jeffrey Reumerman for help and a fun weekend of camping and ponies! Vicky Andrew / Bronheulog Stud, for letting the ponies come to live with us and of course, my family for helping at the show and at home on a very hot, and busy weekend!

We also took the 2 year old Welsh Cob, Orient Express de Maïka, to compete in the Welsh 2yo Sport on the saturday. He jumped well - first time in an indoor arena, full of people, flower pots and lots of distractions, we were very pleased with how he took it in his stride. He shows a very promising and tidy technique over a fence. He placed midway in the section - with very good notes for his type and overall appearance, he didn't show his fabulous paces off as well as we know he can do, so that didn't help him.
