Autumn Updates

We are really feeling the lack of shows here at the moment - we had hoped to go and spectate (and help to show Du Granit Mama Kin with her breeder) at the National Welsh at Lignières in september but one of the ponies had a bad eye injury that needed quite intensive, round the clock treatment, so we couldn't be away for that, even for the day. Happily the eye is almost healed now so that's a huge relief. Obviously we were unable to compete at the National as the ponies that we would have liked to have presented were bred by the section A and B judge!

Mama Kin did us proud by winning her class and then becoming Champion Foal (All sections). Her mum, Du Granit Macumba took the Supreme Overall Champion of the show.

Now she is finally here at home with us and we will spend the winter quietly getting to know her and watching her grow

Despite not showing here as much as we would have liked this year, the season is far from over because Waxwing Moonlight is now with her producer and is preparing for some of the winter events in the UK. Hopefully we will have some reports and photos to share very soon on that.

Our consolidated "re-structure" has taken shape as planned and we now are concentrating on taking our plans forward into the new year. We have had some recent departures as several of our young ponies and home bred foals have gone to their new homes - we still do have a couple of filly foals from the year and a 4 year old mare available FOR SALE

Autumn has definitely arrived - the rugs are going on and the ponies are gradually coming inside and moving into winter quarters and routines. We are hoping that after a scorching summer, we are not going to be subjected to an arctic winter!
