We spent Easter Sunday at the OCEM Poitiers for the next step in the Amateur circuit challenge.

"Golden Boy" aka Eclair du Peymol is currently 12th on the scoreboard in Amateur 3, following on from his round there in November last year.

He jumped a lovely clear round in the morning in the Prépa 90 class, much more fluid and travelling than last time. In the afternoon he jumped a cracking round in the Amateur 3 Grand Prix and was so incredibly unlucky to have the very last fence down!

He is so brave and honest, if a little opinionated at times!

Back home mid afternoon for Easter eggs and a nice evening meal!

This year we have alot "planned" but the competitions are all quite diverse depending on the ponies/horses - we have the usual CSO circuit for those jumping , the Amateur dressage circuit for Easy Rider who is following the points in certain epreuves. We then have Lucky Boy who will begin the CCJP (young pony circuit) in dressage later this month, to hopefully qualify him for the final.

His son, Orient Express, can now do some sport competitions (loose jumping) now that he is a 2 year old - and of course, there are the in-hand Welsh morphological shows. Alot of the dates seem to clash - so we will have to plan and prioritise as the season progresses.
